LG has announced the launch of its first Blu-ray player with an integrated digital Freeview+ recorder.
The LG HR400 also features what LG dubs YouTube "video on demand" giving access to the video-sharing site's more than 2.5 billion videos via the internet connectivity.
A Profile 2.0 player, so BD-Live-enabled, the recorder side of things gets a built-in 160GB hard disk drive which LG claims is enough to record up to 477 hours of programming.
Freeview+ means viewers get access to an 8-day EPG, can pause, play and rewind live TV, and schedule recordings with "series link" functionality. There's also USB input and DivX support.
The HR400 will be available from the end of July, LG has not revealed pricing, but retailers look to be offering the device for around the £360 mark.
