If you're a business with employees that regularly flit around Europe, incurring vast mobile roaming bills, then you might be interested in the latest announcement from Vodafone.

For a £20 flat fee, per person, per month, Vodafone will charge you exactly what it'd charge you if you had gone to Skegness, rather than Barcelona. Receiving calls abroad also becomes free.

The countries included in the plan are Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal, Malta, Netherlands and Romania. Scandinavia is notably absent, as is Belgium.

Full details are on the Vodafone website at vodafone.co.uk/workabroad.

  • I'm amazed it took them this long. Back in the days of the UK 3G auctions it seemed to me that the only way to make sense of the figures was to really push this sort of product, and it looked like it had the potential to be very profitable for them. Still, better late than never. Nice move Vodafone ;-) Posted by Michael, UK
