LG has announced it is to launch a new Chocolate handset, after 21 million Chocolate handsets have been sold in 54 countries.

LG's new Chocolate phone will launch as the fourth model in the LG Black Label series and this announcement confirms rumours that LG was prepping a Black Label device to launch this year as an iPhone competitor.

Apparently from the design team that created the original Chocolate, the next-gen phone will "showcase a highly distinctive design that takes optimal advantage of the device's features and performance".

LG says the new Chocolate will be a "disruptive force in conventional mobile screens in an effort to maximize usability yet carry on the minimalist-inspired style and iconic design of its predecessor".

The new LG Chocolate phone is expected to be unveiled in August - we will keep you posted.
