Medion has announced the launch of a "next-gen" netbook, the Akoya Mini E1312.Offering a 11.6-inch screen, the new netbook provides a high definition 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, 16:9 display with ATI Radeon TM Xpress, 1250 graphics and an HDMI port.
The Mini E1312 gets AMD Sempron 210U power-saving processor technology, a 160GB hard disk, 1GB RAM, 6-cell battery with a 9-cell option, 1.3MP webcam, Bluetooth 2.1 and an in-flight mode.
In addition there are three USB 2.0 ports, a 3-in-1 multi-format memory card reader, 802.11b/g/draft-n Wi-Fi and an Ethernet port.
Running Windows XP, it will be available in black or white, exclusively from Aldi stores from 12 July, priced at £339.99 with a 3-year warranty.
Also available at Aldi on the 12 July for a limited time is Medion's 1.8-inch external HDD offering 120GB storage priced at £79.99.
