Garmin has announced, in conjunction with the car marque, it is to offer the next in the BMW Motorrad Navigator line, the Navigator IV.

Based on Garmin's zumo 660, the device is described as a "motorcycle-friendly GPS navigator".

Exclusive BMW-specific features include a customised mount, preloaded BMW dealer database, unique audio and Bluetooth handling capabilities, "and more".

A 4.3-inch device, it offers a "glove-friendly" touchscreen, hook-up with Bluetooth-enabled helmets, waterproofing and can "withstand" vibration and UV rays, boasting a bright screen.

Garmin says the BMW Motorrad Navigator IV is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2009 in Europe and North America, no pricing revealed.
