O2 gets exclusivity on the Palm Pre?
Company tipped to be UK Palm partner

Further to our story that more info about a UK launch of the Pre will be coming next week, sources are reporting that Palm will announce O2 as its official network partner for Great Britain.
O2 already has an exclusive on Apple's iPhone, and adding the Pre to its stable will no doubt increase the company's lead on its competitors.
Similar to the iPhone, the Carphone Warehouse is also tipped to be selling the Pre. It'll be interesting to see whether the Pre will be available from O2 stores - Nokia's N97 isn't, presumably on Apple's request, despite O2 offering contracts for it.
Many are eagerly anticipating the handset, which has received rave reviews in the USA and is ranked towards the top of the large pile of smartphones released this summer.
O2 has refused to comment on the rumours, but confirmation should arrive next week when the details are published publicly. We'll bring you the news as it breaks.
