Skype 4.1 for Windows goes live

1 July 2009 12:06 GMT / By Duncan Geere

A little over a month after entering beta, Skype 4.1 has gone gold and is now available. You can get it right now from the Skype website.

As previously reported on Pocket-lint, the new version includes screen sharing between Windows, Mac and Linux, as well as birthday reminders and the ability to send contacts to other Skype users.

The company's also promising better video and call quality, and various accessibility features. If that sounds like your cup of tea, then head over to the Skype website to download it.
