Playfish, the social gaming company which was recently profiled on Pocket-lint, has announced that it's met a pretty impressive milestone - 100 million of its games have been installed. The company relies on social networks to spread its games, such as Facebook, MySpace and Bebo. It formed 18 months ago and is aggressively expanding, having released seven games - all of which have made the Facebook top 10.
The company's most popular game - Pet Society - is played by 12 million people each month, and the newest is Restaurant City which launched in April and has seen 5 million installs in 10 weeks.
"Reaching 100 million installs in such a short time is clear proof of social gaming's popularity and how loyal, enthusiastic and deeply engaged the Playfish community is", said Playfish's co-founder Kristian Segerstrale.
