While HTC CEO Peter Chou says it might, and lawyers and saying it's unlikely, it was only a matter of time before some enterprising software bod managed to port the HTC Sense interface found on the newly announced HTC Hero to the HTC G1.

And so that's what they've done. Before you rush to the interweb to find the low down on how to turn your G1 or Magic into the HTC Hero though, it is probably worth noting that, if the video has anything to go by, you'll have a rather sluggish phone afterwards.

Additionally, and this might be a biggie for most, you'll also lose some functionality of the phone. But hey these guys are so on the cutting edge they are almost falling off.

I mean why else would they choose such an awful soundtrack to walk you through 8 minutes or so of new features?
