Fails to make Top 10 singles chart, but where did he place?

He may have taken six spots in the UK top 40 chart, but the King of Pop failed as experts predicted, to secure an all top 10.

The news, which has been put down to such a diverse collection that meant no one song was bought enough to beat La Roux into the number one slot on Sunday.

Michael Jackson did manage to gain the number one spot in the albums chart, however, with a further four albums in the top 40, as people appeared to opt for albums over singles.

No artist yet has managed to secure all the top 10 spots in the singles chart as yet, with many people predicting that The Beatles will achieve the ultimate accolade, if and when, they release their back catalogue for digital download.

Recently the Official Chart Company has said that it is considering adding streaming music to the chart numbers in addition to digital downloads to better represent the way we listen to music on the Internet.
