Acer has announced a new 23-inch HD monitor on Friday in the guise of the H235H.

Available in July in the US, the new 16:9 offering will offer HD support and a 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 2ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness and an ultra-high 100,000:1 contrast ratio.

On the connection side of things the display supports VGA and HDMI as well as DVI with HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) for viewing digital movies, digital photos, PC files and copy protected content.

You'll also get 160-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles and two speakers in the box so you can hear as well as see.

The new monitor will cost $239.99 when it goes on sale next month.
