The second generation of Pure Digital's Flip Ultra line has been announced for the UK with the new Flip Ultra and Flip UltraHD going on sale from 29 June.

Featuring 2 hours of recording time, a high-res 2-inch screen, and battery recharging through the built-in USB arm, the new models follow the same cheap-and-easy theme as previous incarnations but get more memory and a bigger screen, as well as HD capture in the higher-end model.

The Flip Ultra will be available in black, white, yellow and pink, can shoot at a web-friendly resolution of 640 x 480, gets 4GB built-in memory and offers 2x digital zoom, for what that's worth.

The UltraHD gets the same zoom, is available in a more grown-up black and white (with a chrome trim) and can shoot 1280 x 720 resolution video recorded to 8GB internal memory and offers widescreen output to a TV via HDMI.

The Flip Ultra will be £129.99 and the UltraHD will go on sale for £159.99, both due to be available from Amazon, Play.com, Dixons, Currys.digital and PC World.
