Freesat, the UK's subscription-free digital satellite TV service, has announced it will be bringing viewers the 2009 BET Awards in high definition.The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Network to celebrate the best African American talent from music, film, television and sport.
The Awards will be held in Los Angeles on 28 June, and this year are hosted by Jamie Foxx with performances from Beyonce Knowles, Jay-Z and Kanye West.
A little later, on Saturday 4 July, Freesat subscribers can watch the ceremony play out from 8.00pm in high-def on a special BET HD channel for those that have the equipment, and in SD for those that don't.
