LG Electronics has launched two new ultra-slim LCD TVs, the 55LH95 and 55LH93. Both are 55-inch and have a total of 3360 LEDs backlighting them - seven times more than most. That backlighting punch gives a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Along with a refresh rate of 240Hz, it's rather impressive that the company claims the chassis thickness is just 2.5cm.
Also new in these TVs is a wireless feature, which will let you send content from DVD players, games consoles and home-theatre units wirelessly without any "degradation".
The televisions will be available in July, and cost (KRW) 7 million for the 55LH93 and around (KRW) 7.6 million for the 55LH95. That's around £3300 and £3600 respectively, at current exchange rates. Home Cinema, Hardware, Televisions, LCD televisions, LG
