Mid-range handset slides into action

25 June 2009 7:45 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Sony Ericsson has announced a new slider handset the T715 on Thursday.

The new mid range model will feature a 2.2-inch screen, 3G support and the usual array of Sony Ericsson goodies.

The phone will also sport Google maps and AccuWeather apps built in and a 3.2-megapixel camera with photo light.

An FM radio, 90MB of storage and surprisingly microSD rather than Memory Stick support complete the offering.

Available in most places, you'll get around 10 hours of talk time on GSM and around 4 hours for 3G calling with a maximum of 400 hours on standby when the phone is released in Q3 (around September) this year.
