It seems now that the opportunity to own a PC of some description is now within the vast majority's grasp - here in the UK anyway.This view is strengthened by the Aspire One A150-Aw from Acer, available from Expansys for £149.99.
Although, yes, it comes with the obligatory no-frills (possibly no thrills) Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM and 120GB hard drive, if your needs are basic - internet, word processing etc - this should do the job admirably.
It runs Linux as opposed to Windows XP. If you're not used to the alternative operating system it may take a while to get used to but it shouldn't be a deal breaker.
Just be aware however, although the price is very competitive the VAT is added to the netbook and cost of delivery, so you'll in fact end up paying £156.61.
