Tele Atlas offers HD Traffic

Satnav solution available to partners

TomTom-owned Tele Atlas has announced "Tele Atlas HD Traffic", describing it as a "robust solution for navigation and location based solutions".

It will let users find the quickest routes to destinations using info based on "live" road conditions.

Tele Atlas HD Traffic offers up-to-the-minute information from multiple data sources, including anonymous GPS measurements from PNDs, mobile phone signals and road sensors.

HD Traffic will be available in the personal navigation, mobile phone, fleet management, government and in-vehicle markets, initially for Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
