Daily Tech Deal: 42-inch Technika LCD for under £500

Today's tech deal, and the first of five this week, bargain-hunters should note, brings you news of a Tesco TV price reduction.
The retail giant has reduced its Technika LCD42-910 by £200, apparently making it the cheapest in its category at £499.97.
Bold claims aside, the 42-inch Technika telly offers a 1080p Full-HD picture, 100Hz, is slimline at 6cm deep and offers four HDMI sockets.
Specs aren't jaw-dropping - there's 1300:1 contrast ratio and 8ms response time but then you also get PC input, two SCART sockets, digital tuner, SRS Trusurround sound and stand included.
The gloss black TV is available now for a whisker under £500 and we'll bring you another deal tomorrow.
