Shortly after announcing its "Badass Buds", Headfunk has revealed that it's bringing "Freakin' Buds" to the world. Targeted again at the "skate/surf generation", Headfunk is touting the design and colour range of the buds.
The Freakin' Buds are also called the HFE243s, and come in "Phat Black, "Red Mist" "Orange Tang" and "Limey Green". They come in a lanyard design, so if they fall out then they'll just hang around your neck.
Each bud has a 9mm neodymium driver, as well as a silicone eartip. They connect through a 1.2m cable and pack a frequency response of 20Hz to 20KHz. They have an impedance of 16 Ohms.
The Freakin' Buds cost £30, and come in an environmentally friendly cardboard and recyclable PET packaging, not the the "Oyster" clamshells that many headphones are packaged in. They're available now.
