Wii bowling ball to launch

An accident waiting to happen

Wii bowling ball to launch

19 June 2009 13:46 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

We're not sure when this will be available, or indeed how much it will cost, but thought you might enjoy a preview of this Wii bowling ball, presumably heading to a Ninty console near you soon.

Made by CTA Digital who beg "never, ever release the ball!" among the myriad of disclaimers on the product page, the Wiimote fits inside the ball (it opens in half) for an "ultra-realistic" bowling experience.

Could you Wii "bowl" with a ball and not let go?

"CTA Digital, Inc. will NOT be liable for any damage to your TV, home appliances, and/or accidents caused by these accessories..."

  • Why not use the Wii remote and spend the money you've saved on beer? Posted by Beer-Keg, United Kingdom
  • Shouldn't a bowling ball have finger holes rather than buttons - makes it less likely to slip out of your hand as you bowl that perfect strike towards your TV. Posted by adrianaitken, United Kingdom

  • Simple. Now follow my convoluted Yank logic.

If you buy this, you can threaten other people to give you beer. This is really a tool (or any nation close to the EU would classify this as a "weapon") just masquerading as a Wii accessory.

So, our 2nd ammendment ("Right to Bear Arms") guarantees us the right to have the Wii bowling ball. If I were threatened with a bowling ball, I'd give up my beer, unless it were a decent microbrew, but far too many people here drink watered-down p.

Now my blue balls can coerce someone into giving me beer.

Wait, was the point? Or maybe it was about finding new ways to destroy our huge 65" TVs....
