Google about to launch

19 June 2009 10:32 GMT / By Duncan Geere

Google appears to be about to launch a new feature to its "Labs" section, called Flipper. If reports are correct, it's a way of viewing news content in a more magaziney format, helpful for browsing on mobile devices.

Flipper will allow users to browse not only by sections (business, technology, etc) but also by sources. That may be a concession to the newspaper industry who have taken aim at Google recently over alleged "theft" of content and traffic.

At the time of writing, trying to log in just takes you to a blank screen, but look out for it arriving shortly.
