Samsung shows off first 32GB DDR3 memory unit

Back in January, Samsung announced that it'd developed a 4GB DDR3 memory chip, so the obvious next step was to stick a load of them on a circuit board and flog them to gamers obsessed with having the fastest PC in the world.

That's exactly what the company's done, delivering a 32GB DDR3 memory module. It's targeted at servers, rather than consumer PCs, and boasts 20% better throughput than its predecessors.

No pricing or availability has been announced yet, and there's no mention of a consumer variant either. Shouldn't be long though, we would imagine.
