IWOOT offers 6-in-1 Solar Robot Kit

18 June 2009 16:41 GMT / By Duncan Geere

If robots take over the world, they won't use traditional fuel - they'll be solar powered. Thanks to global warming, they shouldn't have trouble keeping themselves juiced up.

We're not completely sure if this kit isn't the beginnings of that robotic rebellion, with the cunning bots making us build armies that'll rise up against the human race. It does look quite fun though.

The kit can be built into six different robots - a car, a puppy, an airboat, a plane, a windmill and a "revolving plane", whatever that is. It's powered completely by the sun but helpfully it'll work under a 50-watt halogen bulb too, for the winter months.

If you want to contribute to humanity's downfall by helping out the robotic puppy rebellion, then this kit will cost you £13 and is available now.

  • If it's modular this could be a good school project kit for young kids. How does global warming increase the sun's energy?
