iPhone 3G S line starts to form in New York

Apple faithful are already braving the downpours in New York to be first in line to get an iPhone 3G S when the 5th Avenue store opens at 7am on Friday morning.

As you might of guessed, the first three in line are students, all braving the weather together, and are in fact queuing for a fourth friend who chose the drier option; going to work.

Currently all iPhone 3G users at the moment, Apple has already rewarded their devotion with umbrellas to stave off the torrid rain.

"We've already reserved one, but we wanted to make sure we got it", said Sam, one of the students.

The three man queue with less than 24 hours to go till launch, is a starch contrast to queues in New York for the launch of the iPhone 3G where hundreds turned out to get their hands on the new model.

The iPhone 3G S promises improved speed and plenty of other features including a digital compass, however has been criticised in the UK for being an expensive upgrade.

At the time of writing no one has been brave enough to queue at the Regent Street store in London.
