T-Mobile has announced that its next Android-based mobile will be called the "G1 Touch".Although the first G1 from HTC boasted a touchscreen display, it also had a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, so presumably this follow-up handset, that will offer the Cupcake version of Android enabling a virtual keyboard, won't.
The revelation came via T-Mobile's official UK Twitter feed with the following tweet:
"Very excited! T-Mobile’s highly anticipated 2nd Android phone has been named the T-Mobile#G1Touch – more soon!"
In fact, if you string together all the current rumours on the topic, it seems the G1 Touch is highly likely to be the just-announced Huawei U8230 said to be due to T-Mo in Q3.
The U8230 has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, on-screen full and half QWERTY keyboards, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a decent battery.
We will keep you posted. Phones, Mobile phones, T-Mobile, Android, Huawei
