Avoiding sicky shoulder syndrome

Over an apres ski dinner one evening our party started talking of the 'unpleasantness' of having a small child

We're currently indulging in our last skiing holiday for a couple of years, at least until the sprog gets big enough to don its own ski's and join us. Over an apres ski dinner one evening our party started talking of the 'unpleasantness' of having a small child. In particular this focused on the various bodily excretions, which seem to appear on an all too regular basis.

Not being great fans of the thought of having to constantly deal with such events we came up with a cunning plan. Over a matter of literally minutes the 'vomit vacuum' was born (by the male contingent anyway).

In its basic version it was decided that this would comprise of a face mask, out of which would run a wide hose, containing a omni-directional valve (all the sick goes one way, but doesn't come back). At the end of the hose would be a disposable bag, into which would collect the various emissions from the baby's mouth, attached around its waist. We were thinking of basing it roughly on the airline oxygen masks, but in reverse.

For some reason the women around the table looked at us in horror. Especially when we suggested that the deluxe version could have an additional hose attached to its rear end. I can't see the problem, surely it would save on nappies at least...

Anyone out there fancy drawing up some initial plans?
