Jabra BT2080 Bluetooth headset debuts

Promises to be "most user friendly yet"

15 June 2009 22:06 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Jabra has announced what it is claiming is its most user-friendly Bluetooth headset to-date, in the guise of the BT2080.

The new headset, which presumably is just as easy to use as every other Bluetooth headset available on the market, will feature Jabra's new proprietary StatusDisplay LED indicators to let people know what's what - basically how much battery is left by showing different coloured lights.

The BT2080 is also the first Jabra headset with Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, and promises up to 6 hours talk time and 8 days standby.

The Jabra BT2080 will be available at retail stores nationwide in July for a suggested retail price of $39.99 in the US.

No word on UK pricing or availability.

We will keep you posted.

UPDATE: The Jabra BT2080 will be available from 1 September 2009 at The Carphone Warehouse for £29.99.
