Sky has announced an exclusive deal to broadcast Madonna and Girls Aloud’s most recent tours in both standard and high definition.

"Madonna: Sticky and Sweet" and "Girls Aloud: Out Of Control live from the 02" will be broadcast on Sky1 and Sky1 HD in July and August respectively.

The Madonna broadcast will offer a special 15-minute behind the scenes film, as well as music from the apparently record-breaking tour, recorded at Buenos Aires' River Plate Stadium in December 2008.

The Girls Aloud concert was recorded more recently - in May 2009 - and comprises "a selection of their greatest hits from the last seven years and songs from their latest studio album".

Sky says fans who subscribe to Sky HD will be able to see Madonna and Girls Aloud "up close and personal in glorious high definition for the first time", and for those with swanky home ent systems, be able to hear them in Dolby 5.1 surround sound.
