Nokia has accidentally leaked details of a new handset thanks to a slip-up by its official blog, Nokia Conversations.

The blog, which is official, but tries to give an edgier inside look to the company rather than the usual corporate spin, has, it seems, accidentally posted a promotional video on YouTube about a new handset; the E72.

Although the team at Nokia has since removed the leaked video, that hasn't stopped the handset expected to replace the current E71.

Looking similar to the E71, the E72 sports a 5-megapixel camera and by the look of it an optical mouse on the d-pad, similar to that found on some of the Samsung handsets.

Details are incredibly thin on the ground, however the video seems to show that the headphone jack appears to have been moved to the top of the device, similar to how it appears on the Nokia E63, versus the E71 having it on the side.

There are currently no details as to when we can expect to see the new handset announced or become available.

UPDATE: Nokia has now officially announced the E72.
