Following up on the launch of its first netbook, Archos has announced a whole future "MiniPC" range, including a 9-inch tablet launching with Windows 7, and the 10s, the 13s and "Classmate" netbooks.

The Archos 10s is announced with the highly dubious claim of being the "smallest MiniPC of the market". With a a 10.2-inch screen, it gets a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, and 80GB hard drive. It runs Microsoft Windows XP and will go on sale in June with a 3- or 6-cell battery.

The 13s is powered by an Intel Celeron Ultra Low Voltage processor, gets a 160GB hard drive and a 1280x800 pixel resolution, 13.3-inch backlit LED screen, 802.11n Wi-Fi - and a HDMI port.

With a 10-cell battery but weighing in at 1.6kg, and just over an inch thick, the Archos 13 is likely to turn a few heads when it launches at the end of summer this year.

Finally, Archos has announced a "MiniPC" for kids, the "Classmate". Originally developed as part of a French government initiative for primary school children, the wee PC will now be available to all.

With an integrated handle, the Classmate is shock-proof and waterproof with a keyboard designed especially for kids.

Complete with educational software, the 9-inch Classmate boasts an Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM memory, a webcam, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Ethernet connections and Windows XP.

We'll bring you more news of the Archos range when they get closer to launch.

UPDATE: Archos has revealed pricing. The 10s will be available in July 2009 in 2 versions - with a 3-cell battery for £329.99 and 6-cell at £349.99. The Archos 13 will be available August 2009 for £549.99, while the Classmate will be available in the UK from August 2009 for £319.99.
