Shure debuts SRH240 headphones

Entry-level cans for "general listening"

Shure has announced a new pair of headphones at the London International Music Show. The SRH240s are targeted at consumers and the company says they're for "general listening".

Although Shure has been making earbuds for some time, the SRH240s are their first toe in the murky waters of the over-the-head world. Weighing just 181 grams, the company says that they've got "powerful bass response and clear highs".

They're closed-cup, so outside sound won't leak in, and inside sound won't leak out, and they cost £70. They'll be available from July 09.
