As well as the downloadable CityXplorer guides for its nuvi 1200, 1300 and 1400 series of satnavs aimed at pedestrians, Garmin has announced it's also offering downloadable AA City Guides for your Garmin satnav.

Based upon the AA City Guide books, the travel guides work with Garmin's navigation, including the nuvi and zumo series, to give you turn-by-turn directions to AA-rated destinations.

The AA City Guides offer deets on "the finest places to eat, most fashionable bars to be seen in and the best museums".

Cities currently available for download as AA Guides include London, New York, Paris and Rome, which are priced at £4.99 and available from www.garmin.co.uk.
