Philips launches LightFrame 22-inch monitor

Glows blue to reduce eye strain

Long day? Drooping eyes and nodding off slightly? Need a little bit of a boost? Stay away from that coffee machine - Philips has the answer. It's a monitor that glows bright blue.

The LightFrameT is a 22-inch widescreen TFT that is surrounded by a big glowing "cool blue" frame that promises to reduce eye fatigue. Philips claims that "blue light that passes the eye’s third receptor has a relaxing and rejuvenating effect".

We're not entirely convinced, but if you want to give it a shot then you should know that it'll cost £175, and should be available from the start of July.
