Samsung has announced the latest addition to its R-Series range of notebooks, claiming to combine HD graphics with enhanced 3D SRS sound, for those that like their multimedia entertainment.

Offering Intel Centrino 2 processor technology and incorporating the new ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 graphics card, the R720 offers a 17.3-inch LED display that features a 16:9 aspect ratio, along with 4 Watt stereo speakers and dedicated subwoofer.

With a 17-key full-sized numeric keypad, of interest to PC gamers, the R720 gets four USB 2.0 ports, including an eSATA combo port and a chargeable USB port, for charging gadgets when the notebook is turned off.

Complete with Windows Vista Home Premium, the Samsung R720 will be available from July in the UK, pricing to be confirmed.
