HP has unveiled the new HP Pavilion dv6 "Artist Edition" notebook, wrapped in a design "inspired by the Okinawa sea and sky" from young Japanese designer Hisako Sakihama.

Sakihama is the winner of the HP and MTV Engine Room Notebook Design Contest, and also whipped up a matching imprinted sleeve and mouse in the same one-of-a-kind "sea and sky" design.

The notebook gets a 15.6-inch, HD 16:9 display with "Flush Glass", an AMD Turion dual-core processor, ATI video graphics, up to 6GB RAM and up to 500GB HDD.

There's also built-in Bluetooth and an integrated webcam and dual digital microphones

Pre-loaded with HP MediaSmart software and the MAGIX Music Maker, the new notebook also boasts a sea- and sky-themed Microsoft Vista Desktop design.

The HP Pavilion dv6 Artist Edition Notebook PC will be available in the UK from August at a recommended price of from £699.
