Come to the dark side... In Japan Nintendo has announced the launch of a Nintendo Wii in black, dubbed the KURO Wii (Kuro means black in Japanese).

As well as giving the console the dark treatment, the Wiimote, nunchuck and a classic controller will also be available in black.

In addition, the company has announced it will offer the Nintendo DSi in red this summer.

The new colour variants go on sale in Japan from July, there's no news yet of a UK launch.
