The Carphone Warehouse and Alcatel have announced the launch of a "striking red clamshell", the new OT-S319.

Available exclusively for Carphone customers online and in store, the new rouge-tinted handset is on sale for a budget-friendly £9.95 on an Orange pay as you go tariff.

With WAP and GPRS functions, the OT-S319 weighs in at 90 grams. The metallic handset offers three direct access keys at the front of the fascia, gets a 1.8-inch basic colour display, 7 hours of talktime, and a 16-day standby.

So, if you're looking for a budget clamshell for under a tenner with bright red accents, then you've just met your perfect phone partner.

  • This phone has been available for quite a while.
My wife bought one for herself about three months ago. For the price it's ok for a basic phone but the menu system can get annoying.
