Acer's Aspire One netbook range now includes what the company is calling a "professional" model, the Aspire One Pro 531.

Combining connectivity with mobility, the Pro 531 weighs just over a kilo, measures in at 2.5cm thick and claims up to 7.5 hours of battery life - battery dependent, of course.

The 10.1-inch netbook gets an Intel Atom processor, a WSVGA LED-backlit screen, an 89% of standard size keyboard and a multi-gesture keypad.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, and Ethernet LAN as well as optional integrated 3G and Bluetooth. There's also the option of paying extra for SSD storage.

An Aspire One Pro 531 with a 3-cell battery, 1GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive running XP will cost £349 plus VAT. Up the specs to a 6-cell battery and 2GB RAM and you're looking at £399 plus VAT.
