Nintendo DSi sales hit a million in Europe

In 8 weeks

Nintendo has announced that sales of the Nintendo DSi have taken 8 weeks to reach the 1 million mark across Europe since its launch in Europe on 3 April 2009.

This is apparently 5 weeks quicker than the Nintendo DS Lite took to reach the level of sales.

Coupled with this, Nintendo says almost 500,000 Nintendo DSes have been sold across Europe in the same period.

Equipped with a camera, the DSi offers music playback and the ability to download new games directly to the console.
