iTunes 8.2 released ahead of iPhone 3.0

Apple getting ready for new features

Apple has released a new update for its iTunes software as the company readies itself for the launch of the iPhone 3.0 software update.

"iTunes 8.2 now supports iPhone or iPod touch with iPhone 3.0 Software Update." The company says on the standard Software Update tile that Mac users will be familiar with.

The software update, all 79.3MB of it, will also address accessibility improvements and bug fixes according to Apple.

Apple is expected to make a number of announcements relating to the iPhone at its annual WWDC conference in San Francisco starting on the 8 June.

The internet rumour mill is expecting Apple to announce a new iPhone at the conference.
