It has been announced that Harry Potter is the latest character to get the LEGO treatment in the forthcoming LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 video game, announced from Warner Bros, TT Games and LEGO.

Based on the first four Harry Potter books and movies that tell the story of Harry’s first 4 years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the LEGO Harry Potter title will offer "an engaging mix of magical gameplay and light-hearted humor"

Gamers will have the option to play as Harry, Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger, as well as other favourite characters, and will have the opportunity to attend lessons, cast spells, mix potions, fly on broomsticks and complete tasks to earn house points.

The game is due to launch on all next-gen consoles and handhelds in 2010, hit play on the video for a teaser trailer.
