The company also announced that new new pay-as-you-go customers plumping for a BlackBerry will get six months free email and web access. They'll be able to choose from either the Curve 8900 or the already-available Pearl 8120.

The Curve will go on sale at £250, and Orange's BlackBerry internet service costs a further £5 a month. The Curve has been available to contract customers on T-Mobile, O2 and Vodafone since December.

The handset itself packs a full QWERTY keyboard, a 480x360 display, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.2 megapixel camera and SD card slot.
