Spotify, the enormously popular music streaming service, has shown off its first mobile application for Android.

If the video demonstration is accurate, the application has all the speed of the full program, as well as full syncing with playlists from your computer - any songs you add to a list on your PC will also instantly appear on your phone.

It's also got a crucial feature - offline playback. When you're out of wireless signal you'll still be able to listen to music. Simply select a playlist, then hit the "Offline Sync" button and it'll download the tracks to your phone.

It's still a work in progress right now, and if the noises that the company has been making are correct then you'll need a premium account to take advantage. We also know, from previous job postings on the company website, that it's developing iPhone, Symbian and Windows Mobile clients too.

We'll keep an eye out for them, as well as any further Spotify news, and make sure you're the first to know.
