Sony has announced the new W180, a Cyber-shot digital camera from Sony claiming to offer "outstanding quality and value to suit every pocket".

Described as a "no-fuss choice", the latest member to the Cyber-shot family gets 10.1-megapixels and a 3x zoom lens.

The camera offers a 2.7-inch LCD screen, "easy" menu navigation, SteadyShot image stabilisation and seven scene selection modes.

There's also the now-standard face detection - for upto eight faces - smile shutter and sensitivity to ISO 3200.

With "slim, clean lines" and a choice of silver, black or red colour finish options, and complete with PC software, the Cyber-shot W180 will be available from July, no pricing revealed.
