Mobile phone manufacturer Alcatel has created a handset exclusively for high street retailer Superdrug.

The glossy white OTS211 candybar handset features a "colour coordinated 'Superdrug' pink trim around the centre".

The "bespoke" mobile will sell for £14.99 on a Virgin Mobile pay as you go tariff.

Specs are on the slim side. With a colour screen and 5 hours of talktime life, the handset measures 12mm thick. It also offers an FM Radio and weighs in at a handbag-friendly 69g.

Alcatel's UK sales director William Paterson said on the new retail team-up: "Having Alcatel handsets on sale in Superdrug is a fantastic achievement for the company. Superdrug is one of the UK’s best-loved retailers offering everything from phones to cosmetics and has a loyal customer base".
