PHOTOS: TomTom White Pearl satnav launches

TomTom has announced the "White Pearl", describing it as a special edition navigation product "with a twist".

The White Pearl, with its pearlescent design, is aimed at drivers "who like a touch of glamour in their car", said to be a departure from the typical look and feel of a TomTom PND.

Based on the TomTom ONE IQ Routes edition, the white pearl gets "special" points of interest such as, "Places to be seen" and "Shop 'til you drop".

The White Pearl and its mount come in a "luxurious silk drawstring bag", and will be available in June 2009 from Amazon.co.uk for £179.99.
