If you're looking for a super-cheap compact digi-cam, either for yourself or others, then Tesco is currently offering such a device with a £45 price tag.The Sanyo VPC5770 digital camera is a point-and-shoot model with a decent feature set, perhaps ideal for a chuck-it-in-your-bag holiday cam, a younger user, or even a tech-wary older type making their first foray into megapixel-based photography.
It offers 7-megapixels, 3x optical zoom, a 2.4-inch LCD display, anti-shake, red-eye reduction, timer, a variety of shooting modes, face detection and the ability to record video with sound.
Powered by AA batteries, there's the freedom to operate far from a mains supply and is uses common-or-garden SD/SDHC memory cards.
Tesco was selling the snapper for £59.97, but the price has been dropped to £44.97, saving you £15, while another Tesco offer - buy a digital camera and get a 2GB SD card and Tesco camera bag for a tenner, will push your overall spend up and over the £50 free shipping.
If this summer's budget doesn't stretch to a flashy compact, or you're buying a gift for a digi-cam starter, the VPC5770 is worth a look. Cameras, Digital cameras, Sanyo, Daily Tech Deal, Tesco, 7 megapixels, Compact cameras
