Following the news we brought you of the S12 after its US release, Lenovo has now confirmed the S12's UK debut - as well as announced the launch of the IdeaPad U350 and the G550.The IdeaPad U350 - with its "sophisticated polished silver shell" - weighs in at 1.58kg and measures less than 25mm thick - a measurement dependent on what cell battery it's toting.
The U350 offers a 16:9 aspect ratio, high def 13.3-inch LED panel, HDMI connectivity, a choice of Intel Core 2 Solo and Pentium processors, up to 8GB DDR3 memory and up to 500GB of hard drive storage.
Lenovo also claims "several unexpected features" for the U350, such as a "Ambient Light Sensor" for screen brightness, Dolby Sound Room and VeriFace facial recognition technology.
The 15.6-inch Lenovo G550 is aimed at professionals and is described as a thinner and lighter G series offering with "entertainment essentials" (try getting those features past your accounts dept) including a 16:9 aspect ratio panel, DVD burner/player and HDMI port on select models.
G550 pricing is to be confirmed for its June launch, but the U350 gets a "from" price of £449, due on sale in July. Hardware, Laptops, Lenovo
