We brought you news - and a review - of O2's new "Joggler", a digital device designed to help families stay organised, and now we have news that one of the Joggler's features is available sans-device.

The O2 Calendar application, created by Critical Path, is available to anyone for free who signs up for an O2 email account, and can be run off a PC rather than on the Joggler.

The Calendar claims to provide a simple and convenient way for families to better manage their lives and is available to anyone, regardless of network, as long as they get themselves signed up to (free) O2 email.

Customers with the O2 calendar can text from their mobile to add new events and see what is happening on any particular day, while O2 customers can also set up free text reminders to their mobile so they never forget a key event.
