All cherry red models see donation

Dell includes Minis in Product Red range

21 May 2009 16:07 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Dell has announced that all cherry red Minis are now part of the Dell (PRODUCT) RED portfolio, and Dell will contribute $5 of the purchase price of a (PRODUCT) RED Mini to the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.

It seems this is also the case for the UK, although we're not sure how much the donation will be - a direct conversion sees $5 as £3.18, not a whopping amount by any means.

Dell says to date, it and other (RED) partners and events have helped to generate more than $130 million for the Global Fund.

  • Strange, when we the consumers pay, 1 dollar = 1 pound but when they have to pay out, all of a sudden the exchange rate kicks in. Nice. Posted by adrianaitken, United Kingdom
